What's an emulator?
An emulator is a program that mimics (emulates) another system. For example your computer and a Super NES are built entirely differently, from the nuts and bolts to the software. In essence, a Super NES emulator uses the increased power of your PC to run the operating system of a Super NES, thereby allowing it to play Super NES games.
Of course, few emulators work perfectly, so be prepared for some bugs but once you get it working properly it's so worth it.
What's a ROM?
ROMs are copies of an original game, except in a file format. Since you can't put a Super NES cartridge into your computer, you need to download the ROMs to play these games.
IYou will have to download the ROM files seperately then copy them over to the proper directory on your SD card, or if the emulator supports it - to DVD, USB stick or Network share. You just copy the zip file right in, dont extract it.
NOTE: Due to copyright laws, it is illegal to download a ROM of any game that you do not own unless you delete it within 24 hours. e4Wii does not host any ROM images on our site, nor does e4Wii endorse piracy.
